Treegator production began in the basement of the Cissel family home after development and patenting by W. Lambert Cissel Jr of Woodbine MD.
In 1991, Spectrum Products Inc. was founded by Scott Cissel, and production was moved to Raleigh, NC. In 2004 Spectrum Products, Inc. then moved to our current facilities located in Youngsville, NC.
Today, Spectrum Products Inc. manufacturers and distributes Treegator® and Treegator® Jr. Pro slow release watering bags to commercial landscape suppliers & residential wholesale merchandisers throughout the United States and several foreign countries.
With the product's proven performance, a team of hundreds of the finest commercial and retail dealers, and thousands of loyal customers, Treegator® has become an integral tool in tree plantings across the US and abroad.

About the inventor of treegator®
The Cissel family has been in the landscape industry for well over 40 years as a grower of turfgrass and ornamental shade trees. Treegator® was originally designed to assist with summer digging in our wholesale nursery.
Soon after, knowledge of its stress reducing and time saving benefits created demand from contractors and nurseries in the Baltimore, MD area.
